Director of Interpretation Jake Wynn will have a conversation with William Eichler, Andrew Roscoe, and James Taub about the evolution of battlefield medicine from the Civil War to World War I. The Civil War changed battlefield medicine forever. This conversation will talk about how it evolved during the war, and long afterwards. William Eichler is a founding member of Civil War Digital Digest (CWDD). CWDD makes high quality videos about the American Civil War experience, on their YouTube channel, Facebook page, and website. These videos cover a range of topics from “how to” to in depth looks at original items to biographies of the lesser-known heroes of the conflict. They aim to entertain and educate armchair generals, teachers, and living historians alike.

James Taub is an American born, British educated military historian focused on developing further understanding of soldiers and the organizations they were a part of. He had the amazing opportunity of being an intern at Gettysburg National Military Park, the American Battlefield Trust, and worked at Fort Ticonderoga. He earned his BA in History from Dickinson College in 2015, and an MA in War Studies from the University of Glasgow in 2017.

Andrew J Roscoe is a military historian specializing in the American Civil War. Andrew serves as a Naval Aviator in the US Navy. He received his Bachelors from the University of Michigan and his Masters from Norwich University in Military History.
