A Taste of History–Civil War Wines

Join us on Saturday, February 25 at 2:00PM at the National Museum of Civil War Medicine for an unusual wine tasting event. Marc Monahan from Spin the Bottle Wine Company will join NMCWM Executive Director David Price as they introduce wines connected with the Civil War.

Hear the story of Civil War wines and their connection to today’s wines as you sip samples and taste history.

The presentation is included with admission to the National Museum of Civil War Medicine and FREE for NMCWM members.

Marc Monahan spent 9 years in the wine business before opening Spin the Bottle Wine Company in Frederick, MD. He has worked with boutique labels, high-end labels, sought-after labels, as well as the large household name wineries. In addition to being a wine enthusiast, Marc truly learned the business from the inside out from the wine makers, wine owners, General Managers, as well as time spent in the vineyards. Marc loves to share his wine knowledge and expertise and will never turn down the opportunity to discuss any of his offerings.
