On Saturday November 10th at the National Museum of Civil War Medicine from 10 AM to 5 PM, Artist in Residence Michael Benevenia will be showing current works in progress, and be available to talk about his sculpting process. Visitors will also be able to see common ways in which Michael works live and in person.
Alongside this Open Studio Day, Michael will be giving a presentation at 2:30 PM in the Delaplaine-Randall Conference Room exploring how he came to make work drawing from Civil War Medicine, as well as how his work has started to further develop at the start of his residency.
Both the presentation and viewing Michael’s works in progress are included with museum admission and are FREE for NMCWM members.
Michael will be conducting a guided tour of his exhibition the following day on November 11 at 11 AM. Click here for details on that event.
