Living historians from the 17th Corps Field Hospital Unit will be at the Pry House Field Hospital Museum portraying Civil War medical personnel.
The 17th Corps Field Hospital Unit will be on-site at the Pry House Field Hospital Museum between 11 AM – 5 PM on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, September 15-17, providing living history programs about medical operations during the Battle of Antietam. On the evening of September 16 they will be conducting a sunset surgical demonstration in the Pry barn. The Pry barn was used as a field hospital after battle, making it the perfect place to engage with the living historians from the 17th Corps Field Hospital.
The 17th Corps Field Hospital is the largest medical living history unit in the Midwest. They deliver educational programs for the public at various historic sites around the country.
