29th Annual Conference on Civil War Medicine–CANCELLED

CANCELLED DUE TO IMPENDING GOVERNMENT SHUT-DOWN

The 29^th Conference on Civil War Medicine will take place from October 6 to October 8, 2023. Hosted by the National Museum of Civil War Medicine, it will be a weekend filled with exciting tours, programs, and experiences.

The Conference will begin on Friday October 6 with an evening reception at the Museum featuring light refreshments. At the reception, attendees will have the chance to do a tasting of Civil War inspired spirits, talk with the staff, explore the galleries, and see exclusive previews of Museum upgrades.

Saturday October 7 features a guided tour of Antietam National Battlefield with Scott Woodard, military historian at Command and General Staff School at US Army Command and General Staff College in Texas, and a discussion of the medical response to the bloodiest day in American history.

Sunday October 8 concludes the Conference with an exclusive walking tour of downtown Frederick and a tour of the National Museum of Civil War Medicine.

Tickets are $135 for Museum Members or $175 for non-members. Tickets cover admission to all programs and tours, refreshments on Friday, and lunch on Saturday.
