Beers & Bonesaws: Amputation

Join the National Museum of Civil War Medicine on Wednesday, March 15 from 6:00-7:00PM at Frederick Social for fun with beers and bone saws.

Learn about the most common surgical operation of the 1860s: amputation, while sipping on the exclusive “Letterman Lager,” usually only available at the Museum’s gift shop. Museum staff will demonstrate the complex operation that Civil War doctors used to save countless lives.
