Faces of Union Wounded at South Mountain with Matt Borders

Hear individual stories of wounded Union soldiers from historian Matt Borders

Join us on Thursday, October 14 at 1:00 PM on YouTube for a virtual program hosted by the National Museum of Civil War Medicine. You can tune in by visiting youtube.com/user/nmcwm at the scheduled time.

Director of Education John Lustrea will talk with historian Matt Borders about his latest book Faces of Union Soldiers at South Mountain and Harpers Ferry. During the pre-recorded program, Matt will share stories of soldiers who were wounded at the Battle of South Mountain along with some research tips for those looking research an individual soldier of their own.

Matthew Borders has an MS in historic preservation. He is a park ranger at Monocacy National Battlefield and is a member of the Save Historic Antietam Foundation and the Frederick County Civil War Round Table.
