The Annual Conference on Civil War Medicine brings together scholars, practitioners, and amateur historians from across the globe to discuss the history of Civil War medicine and its enduring impact today.
Attendees will enjoy three days of presentations, tours, and demonstrations exploring the field of Civil War medicine. Activities include an exclusive tour of the Ben Lomand Historical Site (a field hospital site after the battle of First Manassas) and a guided tour of Manassas National Battlefield by Jake Wynn, NMCWM Director of Interpretation.
Presenters will include: Dr. Douglas Owsley, Dr. Robert Hicks, Dr. Shauna Devine, David Price, Dr. Sarah Handley-Cousins, Carolyn Ivanoff, Dr. Robert Slawson, Dr. Jon Willen, and Anthony Puzzilla
The conference will take place at the Hilton Washington DC/Dulles in Herndon, VA from Friday October 11th through Sunday October 13th.
