Virtual Battlefield Tour – Medicine at Second Bull Run

COVID-19 and closures won’t stop us from sharing the incredible lessons we can learn from studying medical care during the Civil War!
Join us on Friday, August 28 at 9:00 AM on Facebook Live for a virtual program hosted by the National Museum of Civil War Medicine. You can tune in live by visiting facebook.com/civilwarmed/live at the scheduled time.
On Friday August 28, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Director of Interpretation Jake Wynn will take viewers on the museum’s first ever virtual battlefield tour at Manassas National Battlefield Park. He will detail locations around the battlefield related to medical care at the battle. From field dressing stations to field hospitals and beyond, there are many medical sites to showcase. To give Mr. Wynn time to move around the battlefield, there will be a few short breaks throughout the program.
