Part of the Museum’s mission to connect the past to the present, and Mr. Wunderlich is uniquely suited to make those connections. George Wunderlich was the Executive Director of the National Museum of Civil War Medicine from 2002 to 2015. Mr. Wunderlich’s focus on education helped the Museum expand its teaching programs, both on-site and off-site. Today he is the Director of the Army Medical Department Museum in Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
