Join the National Museum of Civil War Medicine for guided tours of the Pry House on Antietam National Battlefield every Saturday at 1:00 PM from June 3 through October 28. The house became a headquarters and a hospital during the bloodiest single day in American history – September 17, 1862. As the Battle of Antietam raged, decisions were made on this historic property that shaped the lives of soldiers, surgeons, and civilians.

Our guided tours will explore the history of the house and the impact of the battle on civilians, especially the Pry family. The Pry House hosted the commander of the Army of the Potomac, General George B. McClellan, and served as headquarters for the Medical Department under Major Jonathan Letterman, Medical Director of the Army of the Potomac. Following the battle, President Lincoln paid a visit to the Pry House.

The program will begin inside the Pry House Field Hospital Museum at 1:00 PM every Saturday beginning on June 3, 2023. The guided tour is included with a $5 suggested donation to the Pry House Field Hospital Museum. To purchase tickets for this tour, click HERE.

The Pry House is open to the public Saturdays from 11 AM to 5 PM and is located at 18906 Shepherdstown Pike, Keedysville, MD.

Friday and Sunday guided tours of the Pry House, Barn, and Grounds are available for $15. Tickets must be bought and paid for in advance. Tour times are 11 AM and 2 PM both days. To purchase tickets for this tour, click HERE.
