Join us on Thursday, November 18 at 2:00 PM on YouTube for a virtual program hosted by the National Museum of Civil War Medicine. You can tune in live by visiting youtube.com/user/nmcwm at the scheduled time.

Membership and Development Coordinator Kyle Dalton will talk with guest Hugh Goffinet about Howard University’s Medical School and its close ties to the Civil War. Hugh is a student at Howard University, where he studies both history and African American Studies. His prior research on the Black experience during the Civil War merges with his Bison pride to bring you a program you won’t want to miss! Despite being founded in 1868, Howard’s Medical School and its associated hospital are directly related to the 1861-1865 War of the Rebellion. Join us on November 18th to find out why.

Hugh Goffinet is a living historian who portrays a USCT soldier. Hugh is currently a student at Howard University studying history and African American studies.
