Director of Interpretation Jake Wynn will talk with Becky Sawyer of Fort Fisher State Historic Site about what visitors to the site can expect and medical care at the Battle of Fort Fisher.

Becky Sawyer is the collections manager and exhibits coordinator for Fort Fisher State Historic Site.  A native of the St. Louis area, Becky holds a BS in Historic Preservation from Southeast Missouri State University and an MA in Public History from University of North Carolina at Wilmington.  With her twenty plus years of working with the North Carolina Historic Sites Division, Becky has worked at Bentonville Battlefield and Fort Fisher.  She has worked with the Civil War trails program, written informative waysides, and has curated several exhibits at Fort Fisher including “An Eminent Work of Charity and Justice: The Jewett Patent Leg” and “Minerva versus Discord: The Medal of Honor”, “The African-American Experience at Fort Fisher” and “When In Five Fathoms Water: The Federal Point Lighthouse”.
