Join us at the National Museum of Civil War Medicine in the Delaplaine Randall Conference Room on September 9 at 2:00 PM as author and historian Dr. Stephen A. Goldman discusses his book One More War to Fight–Union Veterans’ Battle for Equality through Reconstruction, Jim Crow, and The Lost Cause. Learn the previously untold stories of how Northern veterans, black and white, fought a second war seeking equality for all Americans, and in the process created the model of civic responsibility based on military service that Americans have emulated in modern times.
The presentation is included with admission to the National Museum of Civil War Medicine and FREE for NMCWM members.
Dr. Stephen A. Goldman is a psychiatrist and international consultant with decades of experience in academic and clinical medicine, public health, and medical product safety. A Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, he has linked his experience treating and working with combat veterans with an in-depth study of the Civil War, Reconstruction, and race. The only physician to serve on the Abraham Lincoln Institute Board of Directors, his thought-provoking findings have been welcomed on television, radio, podcasts, and in other venues. Dr. Goldman and his wife live in Montgomery County, Maryland.
