Wood shares incredible magic and escapes from the Civil War era in this Museum exclusive event. Part magic show, part storytelling, this 45-minute program is designed for ages 8 through adult. Wood’s interactive show feels like stepping into a cabinet of curiosities, filled with supernatural paintings, mysterious elixirs, mind-reading devices, and more.
Peter Wood was praised by famous magicians Penn & Teller on national television for his amazing act. When not performing, Wood’s specific magical thinking and fabrication know-how have let him to design and consult for film projects, theatrical productions, and his fellow performers. He worked behind the scenes on the groundbreaking Penn & Teller Masterclass in Las Vegas, had lectured on magic at Johns Hopkins University, and co-hosted a podcast for Bicycle Playing Cards. Wood’s creations have appeared in several film festivals, numerous TV appearances, stages in Sweden, Brunei, New York, at the Magic Castle in Hollywood, and the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. Wood lives with his wife and daughter in the idyllic countryside of Mount Airy, Maryland.
