Dragon Lady is the latest Civil War inspired Flying Dog brew, the product of a partnership with the National Museum of Civil War Medicine. An American Saison, the beer celebrates Dorothea Dix, aka “Dragon Dix,” who fought to establish the United State’s first female nursing corps … then fought with her nurses. She is infamous for turning away nurses who she deemed too good-looking, lest they distract the doctors.
