Historical artifacts have a life of their own.
They bear witness to the events of the past, and tell the story of cultural turmoil one small piece at a time. Often presenting more questions than answers, artifacts force us to acknowledge our successes and failures while pushing us forward as a culture and presenting new discoveries.
Join Collections Manager Kate McDaniel to find out what happens to artifacts from the minute they come in the door of the museum from initial quarantine, documentation, conservation, and storage to presentation in an exhibit.
