Civil War Sip and Tour – Explore Downtown Frederick’s Best Wine and Spirits

Uncover Civil War history while sipping on local spirits and wine on this one-of-a-kind guided walking tour through historic Downtown Frederick.
On Friday April 12 beginning at 4:00 PM, lift your spirits by sampling some of the best drinks Frederick has to offer. The walking tour starts at the National Museum of Civil War Medicine and travels to McClintock Distilling Company, Tenth Ward Distilling Company, and Spin the Bottle Wine Company. For $20, attendees will be treated to award winning tastings and discounts at each location. Tickets must be purchased in advance.
Attendees will learn about Civil War distilling techniques, the use of alcohol during the Civil War, and about Civil War era recipes being kept alive today. Additionally, Jake Wynn, Director of Interpretation at the National Museum of Civil War Medicine, will share stories of Frederick’s Civil War nightlife.
Registration is required in advance, and tickets cost $20 per person.
