Hear tales of the Civil War that are stranger than fiction.

Join Collections Manager Rachel Moses at the Pry House to hear tales of the Civil War that are stranger than fiction.

Come to the Pry House Field Hospital Museum on October 19 at 4:00 PM for a special one-hour tour about the grisly, gross and ghoulish cases of Civil War Medicine. On this exclusive outdoor tour of the Pry House and grounds, visitors will hear ghastly true tales from the Civil War – stories of grave robbers, experimental surgery, battlefield horrors and more.

This will be a pay-what-you-please program.

Rachel Moses is the Collections Manager for the National Museum of Civil War Medicine. She received her M.A. in History in 2007 from Youngstown State University where she focused on women’s history. She is co-leader of NMCWM’s book club, Between the Lines.
