“The Brigades of Antietam” Speaker Series in the Pry Barn: Ransom’s Brigade

Antietam Battlefield Guide Matt Borders Will Discuss Ransom’s Brigade
On Saturday October 15th at 2:00 PM at the Pry House Field Hospital Museum Barn, Historian and “Brigades of Antietam” contributor Matt Borders will present Ransom’s Brigade during our “Brigades of Antietam” speaker series sponsored by the Antietam Institute. Borders will discuss where the brigade fought, its commander, what constituted the unit, and how it performed in the campaign including the casualties sustained.
The presentation begins in the Pry Barn at 2:00 PM and is a pay-what-you-please event. There is a $3.00 suggested donation to tour the Pry House Field Hospital Museum. Members access events and tours for FREE.
The Pry House is open from 11 AM to 5 PM on Saturdays, from June 4 through October 29.

Matthew Borders is a Park Ranger at Monocacy National Battlefield with a BA from Michigan State University and MS from Eastern Michigan University. He has worked for the American Battlefield Protection Program and Antietam National Battlefield. Matt is a Certified Antietam Battlefield Guide. He received the Save Historic Antietam Foundation’s Dr. Joseph Harsh Award and has written two books on Union soldiers during the Maryland Campaign.
